Trip overview

Step aboard SV Summer Jo for a wellness experience like no other – a floating retreat in the heart of the Whitsundays. Designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit, these voyages blend the serenity of sailing with a curated program of wellness activities. Sailing on a beautifully refurbished 100ft mega yacht, you’ll enjoy private ensuite cabins, air-conditioned comfort, and a boutique small-group atmosphere for a maximum of 30 guests. Each journey is crafted for genuine connection, deep rejuvenation, and lasting inspiration.

 

Your days may include sunrise meditations, yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement guided by experienced local instructors. Between sessions, you’ll explore the Great Barrier Reef, unwind on the pristine sands of Whitehaven Beach, and enjoy wholesome, wellness-focused meals prepared by our onboard cook. From sunset circles to float therapy in the turquoise waters, this is a voyage for those seeking relaxation, reconnection, and renewal.

    • All meals are included (additional $15 pp / night for special dietary requirements)

    • All wellness activities with a dedicated local instructor

    • Refreshments throughout the trip including unlimited filtered tap water, tea & coffee,

    • Snorkel gear and stinger suits if required (Nov-April)

    • If diving, all dive equipment is included (with basic tuition)

    • Linen and bath towels are provided for your comfort.

    • Marine Park fees are included in the package.

    • BYO alcohol & soft drinks (no corkage fee)

    • Diving is an additional charge and needs to be confirmed at time of booking to ensure we have adequate crew and equipment.

    DAY 1 ::: Arrival & intention setting

    DAY 2 ::: Exploration & inner work

    • Guided coastal walk & float therapy session

    DAY 4 ::: Sail home towards a renewed you

    DAY 1

    Dessert: Dark chocolate & coconut yoghurt with toasted seeds


    DAY 2

    Breakfast: Coconut yoghurt parfaits with fruit & granola

    Lunch: Poke bowls with brown rice, quinoa, tofu, edamame & greens

    Dinner: BBQ with plant-based proteins, grilled fish & herbed salads

    Dessert: Avocado cacao mousse with coconut whip

    DAY 3

    Breakfast: Zucchini & corn fritters with eggs & toast

    Lunch: Beach picnic wraps with hummus, falafel & greens

    Dinner: Buddha bowls with Mediterranean-style grains

    Dessert: Coconut chia pudding with passionfruit swirlDay 4

  • To make the most of your Whitsundays adventure, please bring the following:


    • Small soft bag or backpack – No hard suitcases (limited storage space onboard)

    • Multiple swimwear – You’ll be in and out of the water often

    • Light clothing – Shorts, t-shirts, sundresses, and a light jacket for evenings

    • Beach towel & shower towel – One for the beach, one for onboard

    • Hat & sunglasses – For sun protection

    • Sunscreen – Reef-safe is preferred to protect marine life

    • Refillable water bottle – Stay hydrated throughout the trip

    • Personal toiletries – Eco-friendly products recommended

    • Comfortable footwear – Thongs/sandals for the boat, walking shoes for island strolls

    • Camera or GoPro – To capture your unforgettable moments (waterproof if possible)

    • BYO alcoholic drinks – Keep in cans or plastic bottles (no glass or red wine)

    • Light jumper or windbreaker – Evenings can be breezy

    • Any required medications – Please advise crew of allergies or medical needs

    • Dive certification card/logbook (if certified)

    • Current dive medical (dated within 12 months)

    • Sea sickness remedies

    • Reusable dry bag for electronics

    Tip: Pack light, you’ll be more comfortable onboard and moving between activities.

    BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL & SOFT DRINK POLICY 

    SV Summer Jo welcomes guests to bring their own alcohol and soft drinks onboard to

    enjoy during their voyage. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we ask that

    guests follow the guidelines below:

    BYO Alcohol

    • Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages onboard.

    • Please bring cans or plastic bottles no glass bottles or red wine permitted

    • We do not supply alcohol onboard

    • All alcohol must be stored safely in designated areas.

    BYO Soft Drinks

    • Guests may bring their own soft drinks, bottled water, and non-alcoholic beverages.

    • We encourage the use of reusable drink bottles to help reduce waste.

    • Additional soft drinks can be purchased onboard if required

    Responsible Consumption

    • SV Summer Jo promotes responsible service and consumption of alcohol in line with Queensland & Australian liquor laws.

    • Our crew reserves the right to restrict alcohol consumption if behaviour becomes unsafe or disruptive to other guests.

    Alcohol & Diving – Legal Safety Requirements

    • It is illegal and unsafe to scuba dive under the influence of alcohol.

    • Guests must not consume any alcohol before participating in water activities a dive – this includes dives scheduled later in the same day.

    • A minimum 8-hour alcohol-free period is required before diving. This is in accordance with the Australian Standard for Recreational Scuba Diving, which is based on safe blood alcohol levels for underwater activities. If a guest has consumed alcohol within the prohibited period before diving, they will not be permitted to dive and no refund will be given for missed dives.

    Crew Discretion & Safety

    • The Skipper and crew have full discretion to cease alcohol service or consumption at any time to ensure guest safety and compliance with maritime regulations.

    • Any behaviour that risks the safety or comfort of others may result in alcohol being confiscated for the remainder of the trip.

  • Please read the Cancellation section of our Terms & Conditions carefully.

    • Cancellations 60 days before departure result in a loss of 50% of the deposit.

    • Cancellations 30 to 60 days before departure result in loss of deposit.

    • Cancellation within 30 days of departure date will result in forfeit of Full Charter Price.

  • Our Terms & Conditions apply to this experience. Please review them before booking.

    • Booking will be confirmed on payment of deposit.

    • Balance payments are to be made in full 30 days before charter commencement.

    • We highly recommend that all charterers have travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations.
